Earlier this year EMI installed three outdoor distributed antenna system (oDAS) poles at a nearby medical facility. Ideal for spacious outdoor settings, the oDAS uses multiple antenna nodes connected to a common source to boost wireless capacity while reducing total power usage. The network ensures a strong and consistent 5G wireless signal anywhere on the campus.
With its elegant aesthetic, EMI’s design elevates the height of the internal equipment to account for the flood prone location. The large bay doors make for easy access for servicing and maintenance. Three different heights were used to match the varying elevations of the grounds and maximize signal coverage.
The design also takes advantage of EMI’s helical foundation system. This pier foundation installs in a fraction of the time versus a typical poured concrete slab with no site preparation or spoils.
